Following the tremendous success of Wazzmatazz 2019, WiLD 94.9 aimed to organize another summer festival with the same name. My role was to create a new and captivating visual style that aligned with the brand's values. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of all concerts, including the planned event. However, iHeartMedia allowed me to showcase my work under one condition: the line-up included in the design was altered to comply with their non-disclosure agreement.

In February 2022, WiLD 94.9 decided to use my graphics and update the line-up with the respective artists. This recognition of my work was a gratifying experience and a testament to the quality of my design. It can be viewed here.

Process

The Digital Director tasked me with creating a design for this year's festival that would appeal to the primary Gen-Z audience by incorporating more "Summer-y" colors. In my research, I looked at different festival styles such as Wango Tango and Y100's Summer Splash and decided to go with an abstract design approach that conveyed a beachy vibe. Working collaboratively with various department heads, I addressed all their needs, while also collaborating with outside vendors, including LiveNation, to create graphics that translated seamlessly across all sizes.
