Public Works SF

  • During my tenure as a visual design intern at Public Works SF and The Midway, I was tasked with creating compelling visual assets that captured the essence of the diverse events hosted at these venues. My responsibilities ranged from designing captivating banner ads to developing engaging marketing collateral that resonated with our audience. To ensure maximum visibility, I worked closely with ResidentAdvisor and DoTheBay to create digital ads that were strategically placed and optimized for performance. This experience allowed me to hone my skills in visual design, branding, and marketing, while also providing me with a valuable opportunity to learn from industry professionals

  • During my internship at Public Works SF and The Midway, I had the opportunity to work under the guidance of a skilled manager and mentor, Ryan Ormsby. With his help, I was able to significantly improve my skills in Photoshop, a program that I had previously struggled with. Through experimenting with different textures and digital assets, and applying the useful tools and tips that I learned from my mentor, I was able to create impactful designs with minimal direction. In fact, I was even able to develop a comfort level with Photoshop that I never thought was possible, and now it has become my preferred design tool.
